Validate your Advance Health Care Directive: There are two options to ensure the validity of your Advance Health Care Directive.
You can have a notary public notarize the document, providing an official seal of authenticity.
Have two witnesses who meet specific requirements. The witness must be over 18, know you personally, and see you sign your Advance Health Care Directive. Your witnesses cannot be related to you in any way, benefit financially (get any money or property) after you die, be your health care agent, be your doctor or health care provider, work for your health care provider, or work at the place that you live if you live in a nursing facility.
